Bread & Grains Exhibition
A work in progress exhibition which sheds light on 16 selected artists responses to the subject matter that is Bread & Grains.The exhibition and workshops are based on Multiculturalism & Bread. Grains go hand in hand with humanity, it is as old as civilization itself and is universally known as a symbol of life and culture. The intention is for the viewer/visitor to perceive this connection between us and bread from a new perspective, and think of how its been a companion coexisting with us through the ages. The viewer is to travel through time and culture with bread as the constant motif through which humanity’s past and recent existence has been sustained. artbelowzero is working with writers: theoretical, historical and anthropological within food and art academia, on the foreword and introduction which is split into three segments.
